European Game Executives' Summit goes California!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of EGES this year, we brought the popular Game Executives' Summit to Germany and also, for the first time, to Santa Monica in sunny California.
From June 10th – 12th, 2016, just before E3, we gathered together a group of European games scene’s top decision makers to meet up with their American counterparts and colleagues on the West Coast of the USA for an intercontinental exchange of views and information. We sent out the invitations to our European leaders, and our partner in this event, Digital Development Management (DDM), the world’s leading video game agency with offices all over the world, invited executives from the USA. The result was a lively meeting of around 30 senior executives from both Europe and the USA who attended the series of interesting talks and discussions over the two-day event.
We’d like to send a shout-out of thanks to our partner, DDM, and to Dean Takahashi (VentureBeat/GamesBeat), who did a great job of hosting this first USA edition of EGES.
There were so many interesting discussions this year that we’re definitely returning to Los Angeles in 2017. The event team has already had loads of exciting new ideas for what will be a memorable event. Once again, the focus will be on frank exchanges that will allow confidential insights into the everyday business issues and wider industry concerns of everyone attending.
The golden rules of EGES will once again apply in 2017:
- What's said in Los Angeles stays in Los Angeles.
- Frank, fair and honest discussions.
- Show loyalty: No posting on social networks!
- Seniors and Executives amongst themselves – no media on site.
More information coming up soon.
